QB8 Vino-2016 Intrinsic, Cabernet Sauvignon

When talking about passion, one wine that really comes to mind for me is the 2016 Intrinsic Cabernet Sauvignon. From the artistry of the vibrant label, to the way they produce the wine, to the luxurious taste, it is passion epitomized!

This wine immediately drew me in by it’s captivating lady in a bold red dress lost in her passion, emotions and rhythm. She is a true siren of the wine aisle drawing you in with her seduction and inviting you to try this delicious blend. The label was created by a Brooklyn street artist named Zimer. His technique is called Wild Style and his name is actually woven into the wild red ribbons of her dress. Very cool and different!

The master winemaker Juan Munoz-Oca has really created something new with this wine. Instead of aging in new oaks, he wanted to replace it by aging in the intrinsic qualities within the grape skins for nine months! This has really created a super smooth result from beginning to end. Check out this awesome video clip which explains it all.

Head Winemaker, Juan Muñoz-Oca, describes the INTRINSIC Cabernet Sauvignon winemaking techniques as well as the art and style behind the wine from Columbia Valley.

This is a delicious wine blend from Washington in the Columbia Valley region, consisting of 52% cabernet franc, 44% malbec, 3% cabernet sauvignon and 1% merlot. I love the way the colors dance in the light when swirling the glass, waves of dark plum and cherry jewel colors. The wine opens with notes of licorice, spice, and hints of vanilla. It is full bodied and very fruit forward including a blueberry jammy finish that I love. It is a very drinkable wine and easily accessible (I’ve seen it in most grocery stores including Costco).

This is a sexy wine you must try! Saluti!
