Robert's Asian Wings

While these are not from Kentucky Fried Chicken, they are certainly finger lickin' good!  In fact, my oldest son Nicolas is proud of the fact that he can down 10 of these quite easily!  My youngest son Benjamin claims these are packed with a punch of flavor!  I love my boys, have I mentioned that before?  And not just because they love my wings!  I have played with this recipe and have come down to what I consider the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.  I hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Weekend Breakfast Scramble

Anyone that knows me knows that I am all about a good delicious breakfast!  I often make this Weekend Breakfast Scramble, number one because it is delicious, and number two because you can add all sorts of delicious leftover veggies and/or meats from the last few days and make yourself a delicious breakfast (maybe I should have called it Kitchen Sink Scramble??)!  You can make it vegetarian style using all fresh herbs and veggies, a meat lovers style with bacon and sausage, Mexican with chilies and tomatoes, whatever you want, go crazy and experiment!  For today, I'm going meat lover slash Mexicana....mmm, I already ate this earlier today and my mouth is watering thinking about it again!

Positano Positively Delicious Cream Cake!

This could also be called, Limoncello Cream Cake, but my title is more fun to say and a more accurate description!  This is definitely one of those make ahead desserts that is completely worth the wait and that will have your guests begging for the recipe!  It is 100% pure moist deliciousness...and did I mention it has Limoncello in it?!  Not just in it, but in EVERY layer and molecule!  Starts with a cake soaked bottom layer, topped with a dense mousse layer and finished with a creamy whipped topping layer, all laced with the Amalfi Coasts golden elixir!

Healthy Veggie Soup

Ciao Amici's!  It has been faaaar too long since my last post!  I feel like I need to explain, or as Ricky Ricardo would say, "I have a lot of splainin' to do!"....while I do not typically make New Years resolutions, I do like to start the New Year off healthy.  So, for 2014, I wanted to start the year off right by following what I call a detox diet.  Basically, it was a few weeks of no fats, no carbs, no sugars, no alcohol, no food combining, NO FUN!!!  It's good though, and I am happy I did it, because it cleans your system and recalibrates everything.  Particularly if perhaps you overindulged during the holidays.  Nobody I know of course did that....I'm just saying that's the idea.  Why are you looking at me like that?!  Hey!  What happens in December, stays in December!

Moving on...that diet is Ovah! so I promise the posts and recipes are back!!!  Since I am coming off the detox diet, I wanted to have my first post of 2014 be something healthy.  Don't worry fellow Foodies, I will make up this healthy post by some comfort food posts in the near future!  This is one of my favorite light soups that can be made with the miscellaneous veggies in your fridge!  It is light, it is healthy, and it is delicious!
